We value your privacy, respect it and make every effort to protect it and ensure the correct use of personal data. We only collect personal data that you provide to us on your own initiative with the aim of delivering products and services to you, and to bring products and services to your attention.

General Data Protection Regulation
The General Data Protection Regulation ('GDPR') has a place in our internal information security policy, internal procedures, the organisation of processes and systems and the training of (new) employees.

This privacy statement does not apply to third party websites, referred to via a link on our website.

Cookie policy & cookies used
We make use of cookies on this website. A cookie is a small, simple file that is stored on the computer of a visitor to this website, with the aim of recognising the visitor in the future and to improve and simplify access to this website. We use analytical and functional cookies on this general website. No tracking cookies are used on the general website. Legal basis of the processing
We process the personal data for which we have requested permission to process and for which you have granted permission, for the purpose of delivering products and services to you. You have the right to withdraw this permission at any time.
If you purchase or subscribe to a service from us, we process the personal data that are necessary to be able to perform that service.

We may also process personal data if we have a genuinely legitimate interest to do so and it does not disproportionately violate your privacy.

Personal data of minors
When you purchase our services or visit our website, it is not our intention to collect data about website visitors who are under 16 years of age. Unless they have permission from parents or guardians. However, we cannot check whether a visitor is 16 years or older. We encourage parents to be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to prevent data about children being collected without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal information about a minor without this permission, please contact us at avg@wvdb.nl, so that we can arrange for it to be removed.

Passing on personal data
We do not pass on your personal data to third parties, unless this is necessary to fulfil your request or assignment, or due to laws and regulations applicable to us. To this end, the following categories of recipients are defined:

  • Supervisory bodies;
  • Tax Authorities, the FIIS (Dutch Fiscal Information and Investigation Service) or the AFM;

In some cases, personal data are passed on to countries outside the European Union. On occasion, it may be necessary to pass on your personal data to parties outside the European Union. This may be necessary for the execution of our services, depending on the circumstances of the case.

We only transmit personal data outside the European Union if the receiving parties guarantee an adequate level of protection or if another specific derogation is applicable under the GDPR.

Automated decision-making
We do not make decisions based on automated processing on matters that may have (significant) consequences for people. These are decisions taken by computer programs or systems, without the intervention of a human (for example a WVDB employee).

Retention period for the data
Unless we are obliged to do so on the basis of applicable professional and conduct rules or legal retention obligation, we shall not store your personal data for longer than necessary for the purposes stated in this privacy statement for the processing of your personal data.
